There were two major slave revolts in Poritrin. The first took place before the Butlerian Jihad and was inspired by the Zenshiite leader Bel Moulay. It was quickly crushed by the Dragoon guards equipped with the new personal Holtzman shields.
The second revolt occurred about 30 years later, much costlier for the people of Starda City than Bel Moulay's revolt. The leader of this attempt was Aliid, former friend of Ishmael. Aliid met Tio Holtzman in his labs. Holtzman was wearing his personal shield and Aliid used an ancient lasgun. The resultant explosion vaporized the two along with most of Starda City.
