Shaddam I was the son of Corrin II whom he succeeded to the throne.
In 548 AG he was overthrown by his cousin Villish Saluso IV but he was restored the following year. His Regent was Harmon I.
His sons were Ezhar I, Audrii I and perhaps others too, who were separated because of several differences, which brought the House of al-Qair back to rule as Regents and Protectors. Iason Atreides was instrumental in settling the differences between those branches
