With his lover, Raquella Berto-Anirul (granddaughter of Vorian Atreides) they established the Hospital for Incurable Diseases on Parmentier, a former Synchronized World recolonized by the League of Nobles. The planet was being ravaged by the Omnius Scourge, a catastrophic virus genetically engineered and unleashed by the Thinking Machines to destroy humanity. Their work was hampered and their lives threatened by the antitechnology Martyrist mobs, and they barely escaped the planet.
Later, in 107 BG, Mohandas and Raquella founded the Humanities Medical Commission and went to "more than thirty planets in their efforts to treat plague victims" with the help of LS Recovery, a medical starship bought for them by Vorian. In 88 B.G., they traveled to Rossak to help fight the Rossak Epidemic another outbreak of the Scourge. Mohandas remained on board the LS Recovery studying samples sent by Raquella and trying to find a vaccine. The two saw each other very rarely during that condition, due to the quarantine.
After that situation was resolved, Mohandas saw Raquella for one last time and conceived a child with her. Raquella chose to stay on Rossak to lead the Sorceresses in a new Sisterhood.
Mohandas believed that humanity should be prepared to face all the tragedies; with the idea that important victories are won in hospitals as much as on battlefields, he took the best, the most talented scientists, researchers and doctors, and formed the Suk School, a medical school like none the League of Nobles had ever seen.
Behind the scenesEdit
The name "Mohandas" was likely taken from Mahatma Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, a famous Indian political activist and leader of the Indian independence movement
