Captain Iakin Nefud was the captain of the House Harkonnen guard. He replaced Umman Kudu after he was killed by Leto Atreides I's Poisoned tooth attack. He impressed Baron Vladimir Harkonnen with his quick efficiency in responding to the attack and was promoted to fill Kudu's position. Before his promotion, he was a corporal. The Baron knew that he was a Semuta addict, and to him promotion also meant that he would never again lack for the drug.
His ultimate fate is unknown, but it is likely that he was killed in the Battle of Arrakeen or shortly after it.
